My thoughts on teaching
As an artist, I love working alone and capturing the spirit of the Canadian landscape. But when working alone I miss the joy and energy that comes from working with other people. I believe in sharing my knowledge that I have worked hard to attain. My creative workshops are designed to help students express their ideas and images that are precious to them. My approach is very systematic and not intimidating. There are never mistakes, but rather lots of learning and personal growth. I believe when a student is able to generate their own creative energy, that positive force moves outward and touches the lives of others. I also have several project classes where students can learn many valuable techniques while creating something beautiful.
